[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1/2″][vc_toggle title=”Is it safe to travel to the Holy Land?” el_id=”1460997521670-d71e02d6-0b05″]Answer: Yes, it is safe. Record numbers of pilgrims – and various other kinds of visitors – are traveling to Israel, Jordan and Egypt. Is that not a reliable testimony for traveling to these lands of the Bible?[/vc_toggle][vc_toggle title=”How should I prepare for my pilgrimage?” el_id=”1460997802460-8fd46e31-fdd3″]Answer: The best preparation for travel to the Holy Land would be to read one of the Gospels (or even all four!) along with the Acts of the Apostles. This reading will give you a general context for most of the sites we will visit while on pilgrimage. There are many other travel guides, available in bookstores and on the internet, which can provide you with general information.[/vc_toggle][vc_toggle title=”What else should I bring?” el_id=”1460998500261-87966fc0-4baf”]Answer: Bring clothing that will protect you from the intense sun, items such as a hat, sunglasses, sunscreen, etc. Also bring comfortable walking shoes. Since many of the sites require modest dress, no sleeveless tops or shorts above the knees are allowed. In the winter months bring lots of warm clothing. You should know that many hotels in the Middle East do not provide face cloths in the bathroom.[/vc_toggle][vc_toggle title=”Should I bring a security wallet?” el_id=”1460998543577-5665dd25-2663″]Answer: Yes, that would be a good idea. A security wallet which fits underneath of your clothing will give you that added security, and peace of mind, knowing that your valuables are safe.[/vc_toggle][vc_toggle title=”Is the food safe to eat and the water safe to drink?” el_id=”1460998690685-b289d4c9-c5ae”]Answer: While in Israel you will find the food and water quite safe. While visiting other countries in the Middle East, caution is advised. It would be wise to drink bottled water rather than tap water.[/vc_toggle][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/2″][vc_toggle title=”What if the security situation changes?” el_id=”1460997641541-e8c0532e-8a09″]Answer: Our staff keeps a careful eye on events unfolding in the Middle East and will take appropriate steps, should the need arise, to make changes to the itinerary or even to cancel the pilgrimage if that is deemed necessary.[/vc_toggle][vc_toggle title=”Do I need to bring my Bible?” el_id=”1460998473420-63a9d22f-d640″]Answer: Yes, that would be a good idea. You will be able to follow the readings when they are read for the group at the various holy sites.[/vc_toggle][vc_toggle title=”How much money should I bring?” el_id=”1460998516095-3f243877-83e9″]Answer: Generally the noon day meals are not included, nor are drinks such as soda, wine or beer. Bring about $20.00 a day to cover these expenses. You should also bring about $30-$40 in $1 bills to cover such expenses as bottled water and souvenirs from street vendors.[/vc_toggle][vc_toggle title=”Is there much walking?” el_id=”1460998657765-2e7e1daf-84d6″]Answer: On some days there will be a fair amount of walking, e.g., about two miles, but most days there is a limited amount of walking involved. Because of the street structure in the Old City of Jerusalem, and other sites, it is not recommended for those needing a wheelchair.[/vc_toggle][vc_toggle title=”Should I notify my bank that I will be traveling abroad?” el_id=”1460998704496-0d413077-47d6″]Answer: Yes, that would be a good idea. If you are making a Holy Land pilgrimage be sure to mention that you will be traveling to both Israel and the West Bank (the location of Bethlehem, Jericho, etc).[/vc_toggle][/vc_column][/vc_row]
