Franciscan Holy Land Pilgrimage

Join us on this special Pilgrimage to the Holy Land that begins in Bethlehem. Celebrate Mass in the Church of the Nativity, touch the spot where Jesus was born, and tour the Milk Grotto and Shepherd’s Field. Drive to Jerusalem to visit the Upper Room where Jesus celebrated the Last Supper and see the spot where Peter denied Jesus three times. Travel to Bethany to see Lazarus’ tomb before taking a dip in the salty, mineral-laden waters of the Dead Sea.

Gaze upon a panoramic view of Jerusalem from the top of the Mount of Olives, visit the Chapel of Ascension and the Garden of Gethsemane. Follow the Via Dolorosa to the Church of the Holy Sepulcher to visit Golgotha and the Tomb of the Risen Christ.

Next, head north towards Tiberias, stopping at the Jordan River to renew our Baptismal promises. Sail across the Sea of Galilee to Capernaum and stay for two nights in the town of Nazareth. From there we will visit the Church of the Annunciation and St. Joseph’s Workshop as well Cana, where couples can renew their wedding vows. Take an excursion to Mount Tabor to see the site of the Transfiguration of Jesus. Then drive along the Mediterranean coast to Haifa to ascend Mount Carmel before continuing onto Tel Aviv to visit Old Jaffa.
